From October to March of the following year is the best time to visit Rach Vem fishing village. During this time, the sea is relatively calm, and starfish appear frequently on the smooth white sand beaches.
When you arrive at Rach Vem fishing village, you can comfortably enjoy yourself at the rafts until 9 PM to watch the sunset and enjoy the night scenery. The route is about 21km, and this is the most popular way to Rach Vem fishing village. You just need to turn on Google Maps and find the way from DT973 to the intersection of Suoi Cat - Ganh Dau, then turn left and continue for a bit more to arrive.
This route is also about 21km. If starting from this point, you will need to go back towards Duong Dong town. When you get near the Cua Can bridge, you will see an intersection, turn left and then go straight to the last intersection which is Suoi Cai - Ganh Dau road. You continue to turn left once more and go straight to Rach Vem fishing village.
Getting to the fishing village is very simple
The route to Rach Vem is about 29km. From the ferry terminal, you will need to turn right onto Duong Dong - Bai Thom road and then go straight until you reach the intersection of Suoi Cai, Ganh Dau. Turn right at the intersection and continue straight.

Similar to stilt houses, rafts are built with piles driven deep into the sand for a solid foundation. The floor is covered with planks, topped with leaves and corrugated iron, and surrounded by fences made of wood and boards. Rach Vem rafts are usually built offshore about 200 to 400m from the shore. The area of 25-30m2 is very spacious and comfortable.
