Thien Cung Cave is a miraculous gift that nature has bestowed upon the majestic Ha Long Bay. According to scientists, Thien Cung Cave was formed at the end of the Pleistocene epoch, about 2 million years ago. The cave is located in the northern part of Dao Dau Go, 25m above sea level and only about 4km from the tourist port of Bai Chay. Although it has existed for millions of years, it was not until 1993 that the cave was officially discovered and opened for tourism.

The cave covers an area of about 10,000m2 and consists of many chambers with high ceilings, wide walls, multi-layered structures, and countless stalactite formations of different colors. The stalactites in the cave are soft and appear to be crafted by the hands of skilled artisans rather than shaped by nature over time. Each stone block possesses its own unique beauty, graceful, delicate, and vibrant.
In the central area, there are four large pillars known as the "four pillars of Thien Cung." From the base to the top of the pillars, there are countless natural carvings simulating scenes of human activities, plants, animals, or figures from folk beliefs. Legend has it that long ago, after helping the people defeat the evil invaders, the Dragon King returned to live in a cave on the island. That year, a prolonged drought caused the lives of the people to fall into hardship. They came to the cave to ask the Dragon King for blessings, but many could not return.

At that time, a young couple was determined to set out despite knowing the many dangers that awaited them. Thanks to their courage and sincerity, they were fortunate to meet the Dragon King. After returning, the couple had a baby girl and named her the Cloud Maiden.
She grew up with gentle beauty, causing the Dragon Prince to fall in love. Their love culminated in a lavish wedding that lasted for 7 days and 7 nights in the heart of the cave. That joyful day also featured the presence of lions, elephants, dragons, serpents, Nam Tao, Bac Dau, and more. All were vividly carved by nature on the rock walls. To this day, when visitors come and admire, it feels as if they are witnessing a wedding from ancient times right before their eyes.

The entire Thien Cung Cave is divided into 3 large chambers. Each area offers its own unique beauty, creating an unforgettable exploration journey.
